Using the Young Men's Camp Life Plan Presentation App

Introduction

This tutorial will guide you through using the web application designed for the Makati 4th Young Men's Camp "Foundations for the Future: Mapping Your Life's Journey." The app allows participants to create, edit, and view presentations about their life goals and plans. These presentations will be shared during the camp.

Getting Started

Accessing the Dashboard

1. Navigate to the Makati 4th Young Men's Camp Presentations website
2. You'll be presented with a dashboard showing:

• The camp title "Makati 4th Young Men's Camp Presentations"
• A subtitle "Foundations for the Future: Mapping Your Life's Journey"
• A list of already submitted presentations
• Administrative options depending on your role

Viewing Existing Presentations

On the dashboard, you'll see a table of "Submitted Presentations" with columns for:

• Name (of the presenter)
• Type (Youth or Leader)
• Last Updated (date and time)
• Actions (View/Edit options)

Creating a New Presentation

Step 1: Start the Creation Process

1. Click the "New Presentation" button (highlighted with a red arrow in the first image)
2. This will take you to the creation page

Step 2: Fill in Your Information

1. Enter your full name in the "Full Name" field (marked with number 1 in the second image)
2. Create a password in the "Password" field (marked with number 2)

• Note: You'll need this password later to view or edit your presentation

3. The system will inform you that you're creating a "Youth presentation" where you'll share your background and future goals
4. Click the "Create Presentation" button (marked with number 3) to proceed

Step 3: Complete Your Life Goals Form

The presentation form includes several sections to complete. You can return this page later and edit your entries. This information will be presented during the camp. First by the leaders who will share their life story and advice, then the next day the young men will share their entries.

Step 4: Add Supporting Images (Optional)

1. On the "Presentation Images" page, click "Choose File" to upload images
2. Images will be displayed at the end of your presentation in a gallery format
3. You can leave this section empty if you don't have images to share

Step 5: View Your Presentation

1. Once you've completed all sections, click "View Presentation"
2. Your presentation will be formatted with section headers and bulleted points
3. It will include sections for Spiritual Goals, Marriage Goals, Preparation Actions, and a Closing Testimony
4. Any uploaded images will appear in a gallery at the bottom

Managing Your Presentation

Viewing Your Presentation

1. From the homepage dashboard, find your name in the list of presentations
2. Click the "View" button (eye icon) next to your name
3. Enter your password when prompted

Editing Your Presentation

1. From the dashboard, locate your presentation
2. Click the "Edit" button (pencil icon) next to your name
3. Enter your password when prompted
4. Make your desired changes
5. Save your updates

Administrator Functions

If you have Bishop Admin access:

1. Click the "Bishop Admin" button on the dashboard
2. This will allow you to manage all presentations and users

Tips for a Successful Presentation

1. Be thoughtful and specific about your goals
2. Include concrete actions you're taking to achieve your goals
3. Consider sharing meaningful spiritual experiences that have shaped your plans
4. Prepare to discuss your presentation with the group and receive feedback

Remember that this presentation is designed to help you thoughtfully plan your future and receive guidance from leaders and peers during the YM Camp activities.
